Disneyland!!!

As a birthday present for Isis and me (and because Jeremy had training in Anaheim) we went to DISNEYLAND for an entire week!! I think I was even more excited than Isis. We had a fantastic time and Jeremy got to join us later in the days. Even better, we broke down (it didn't take much breaking for me) and got annual passes!! so we'll be going back! Yipee!

I'll add captions later but most pictures can speak for themselves. :)

One Year Older

Our Isis turned FOUR!!
She had a garden party. They painted flower pots and planted flowers.

And of course cupcakes

Isis knows the proper reaction to birthday presents :)

A week later I turned the big THREE ZERO! For some reason I just assumed 30 meant I was a REAL grown up. I'd know so much more, have more answers, really know what I was doing.

So maybe it's actually 40... :)

My whole family came to Vegas for Memorial weekend and so I got to spend my birthday with all of them. Hooray! We spent the day at Lake Mead.

Then the older siblings played on The Strip. I share my birthday with my brother, Stephen, (next to me), so we had lots to celebrate.

The whole fam

Jeremy got us an Cold Stone ice cream cake... Mmm

And later Jeremy's mom made me a chocolate cheesecake.

What a great weekend!

And we're back...again

Well, I thought I was going to be better about keeping this up-to-date. :) Life happens. And here's been ours:

Mother's Day

Who knew I would ever love two little people so much? These girls are my life and bring me indescribable joy. What did I do to deserve such blessings?

Sisters being sisterly
Enjoying some rare Vegas rain

Church cuts into a little too much naptime... and Elise just couldn't wait to get to her crib.

I tried something new, thanks to my good friend Kollen.

Canning salsa! (Yep, this was my first time)

And I was successful. It is DELICIOUS!!!

One more slew of pictures

The picture post wouldn't allow more pictures but I couldn't neglect to show off how awesome my husband (and his closet) is.

The first cut into the wall

the initial entry
Jeremy working by camping light

Jeremy beautifully installed a working light.

After reinforcing the entry he cut the middle 2x4 for a bigger opening

after putting up the dry wall, he applied the compound

his first dry wall project

nice "tile" floor - love those self-adhesive laminate tiles

walls painted, shelving up

finished entry

now well stocked with food storage

and outgrown baby clothes with space to spare

Is that not awesome?! It's okay, you can be jealous. Jeremy did a fantastic job; I love it! The girls do too. It's a great cave to hide in.

M.I.A

It would appear that even I forgot I had a blog! So in no particular order, here's what's happened with the Gwins in the last FOUR months...

1. Elise learned to walk (a pro by February) and now runs

2. Jeremy finished the closet he built under the stairs. It is AWESOME!

3. Isis started a dance class.

4. We made two trips to Utah and one to Arizona.

5. I FINALLY finished the quilt for Elise. (I started it when I was 6 months pregnant with her.)

6. We celebrated Jeremy's 32nd birthday, Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, and Easter.

7. Played, played, played.

Following are pictures of these adventures and more of my sweet, cute girls.
