Sweet Girl

(I am currently avoiding folding my last basket of laundry, but have been meaning to post this anyway.:) )

Last week I awoke to whispers and scurrying. I rolled over to see what time it was (6:45ish) and found this on my night stand:
Isis came in a minute later very happy and proud informing me she had brought me breakfast in bed, complete with flowers for decoration. :) How sweet is girl?! How did she get to be so grown up and so thoughtful? My buttered bread and 1/2 eaten banana were lovely. I just love her so much!

(HUGE) Catching up

Okay, let's be realistic. I've neglected this for so long that I can't really catch up (I'm talking before Thanksgiving) but how about some pictures/stories (maybe) since the new year started? If you get tired, get up, stretch and come back to us. Or just scoop a happy-sized bowl of ice cream now and read on. (Some of these may be a repeat from facebook (if you saw them there) but I think they deserve a spot on the blog too.) Here goes...

Aubrey getting a bath in the sink.
I just love little naked babies. :)

Jeremy got a new xbox for Christmas and the girls love playing the Disneyland kinect game with him.
The usual state of the playroom.
But it's so much more fun to play in when it's clean! Go figure.

What is this? Ice?! We had to walk around the entire neighborhood and find all the ice we could. It was a good science lesson. We learned it is cold and slippery. Some is thick and some is thin, which you can stomp on and crack. And it has to be in a cold place- for us that was any shady gutter. :)
 Toes, yum!
In January we finally got to meet Lorelai (Heather's (Jeremy's sister) baby girl)
Aubrey is exactly 1 week older than her cousin. Fun times!
(This was the only picture Aubrey wasn't crying. Lorelai sat there like a doll. :) )
Our before picture (I think we're 6 months pregnant?)

And "after" with our 7 month old babies. :)

 All birthday tuckered out

Elise's new favorite trick is to walk up Jeremy and do a flip. Almost the 1st thing she does everyday he comes home from work.

Nothing beats a box to play with
Pasta art. Really, the glitter glue was the most fun.

Last month I tried something out from pinterest - a glow-in-the-dark bath just for playing in. The girls LOVED it (they played for an hour and a half) and I have to admit that I thought it was pretty cool too. (Easy how to: get non-toxic highlighters, take out the ink-soaked felt, run under the faucet, turn on a black light, and WA LA!)

 My little Valentines
The valentines Isis took to school
Aubrey rolled and found a pen...

First of the top front teeth to be lost...
Wiggling that second one, and yes, sticking it out of her closed mouth. (Gives me the willies)
SO proud of her beautiful toothless smile.
President's weekend we took a drive to Mt. Charleston (or Mountain Charleston as the girls call it) and found a perfect little hill with just enough snow to go sledding. :)

Aubrey's 1st sledding experience. :)

The peach tree in our backyard is looking BEAUTIFUL! We're hoping many of these pretty blossoms turn into pretty peaches. We believe the chances are good since we had 3 or 4 peaches when we got the house and the tree hadn't been cared for in over 3 years. And now we've watered, pruned and fertilized it so that should prove fruitful, right? (Pun totally intended.)

A beautiful "spring" day in Vegas that begged for kite flying. It was also encouraged by watching "Mary Poppins." :)

I love this precious, beautiful baby face. And those eyes!

I LOVE my book club. And after 5 years I figured it was time for a picture with them. :)
(Any long distance friends/family who want to have an online book club?)

"I sorry Mama" for sticking my fist in and eating handfuls of Nutella and trying to hide the evidence on my pants. (Or just sad at being caught.)
 Oh Elise.

Isis' new pretend play is "mystery." Our little detectives.
 Playing "boat"
Two weeks after we went sledding this is how the girls spent their afternoon. Including buckets of water.
(Santa brought a trampoline for Christmas.... Best. Gift. Ever.)

Mommy and Elise play time. Not too bad of a paint job for a 3 year old.
Showing baby sister the joy of bubbles

Aubrey's walking all over the place anyway, might as well put her to work, right?
Behold the Baby Mop

While I was cleaning the shower two days ago Elise told me "I need hair cut."
"Yes, you do Elise but not right now."
-SNIP!-
I definitely had failed to notice the scissors in her hands as she was talking to me. She is definitely missing some hair now. Oh Elise. Good thing she's a girl and can wear bows... for a long time.

The other night Elise was just too "duper duper tired" and couldn't last until the end of her story... :)
And if you've made it to this point I'm sure you feel just like her! Congratulations to everyone- you for reading it all and me for actually getting it posted!!
