Picture collage

Last Saturday Jeremy's dad got us tickets to got see a taping of "Wheel... Of... Fortune"! Our tickets weren't for actual seats and with the crowd there was no way we would actually get in to see it. However, because my father-in-law is so cool (and knows so many people), we not only got in but were seated in the middle of the 3rd row VIP floor section. Nifty. We clapped for about 3 hours straight and did a Q&A with Vana White. It was quite interesting to see the behind the camera show and we had a fun time. (I only had a mini panic attack at having left our girls for 5 hours with a babysitter, but all survived.)
Took the girls bowling for the first time with our playgroup. They had a great time. Isis' first round she broke 100. :) And Elise was in the 80's. Not too shabby. :)
Yesterday we went to Floyd Lamb Park. It's only 10 minutes from our house but we've never been there before. Within 30 seconds of stepping out of the car there were 3 peacocks that came rushing over looking for handouts. Soon there were 13! Who knew there was a community of peacocks thriving in Vegas!
And some pictures of my girls because I love them and think they're cute! :)
Aubrey is almost walking. And those are her first pig tails. :)
Elise. Her goggle picture cracks me up every time I see it.
Isis after her last dance class. And she blew bubbles on the window and just happened to put her face in the right place for a beard. :)

June Fun

Ha ha. Apparently I had put all these pictures on for when I had time to write about them.... I just found out that I put them in a post that's been sitting around waiting for me. So here's JUNE. :)

Jeremy and I got this ice cream maker as a wedding gift 9 years ago. This is the very first time we've used it. :) Fun family home evening. Activity and YUMMY treats all in one. Sweet!
Vanilla and Cookies n' Cream

a visit to the natural history museum

the Bellagio conservatory
after watching the Bellagio fountains (my favorite)

Isis' first dance class. She did pretty well for her first try. :)
Last awards assembly at school - Citizenship and Attendance awards :)
Jeremy used some of our last peaches to make a peach glasse (gla-say).
Pretty yummy.
My #1 kitchen helper
Elise tried out gymnastics this summer. She loves it and is quite good at it. :)
Doing "experiments." Elise is on a computer and Isis is examining something (light rainbows?) with safety goggles.
A BEAUTIFUL hike at Mt. Charleston

Craft time. Making our Barbies modest by painting bathing suits on them. :)
The girls LOVED this.

Guess who's 1 year old?!

 THIS CUTIE PIE!!!
Aubrey turned 1 on Sunday.
This older cutie was a good cupcake-maker-helper

Those first candles are always a curiosity.

But every child knows how to eat a first cupcake.

And then it was bed time. :)
My baby now has 4 teeth. Still puts everything in her mouth. She's a giggler so I tickle her as much as I can just to hear her laugh. She can get anywhere she wants by crawling, including the stairs and is pretty good at climbing them. She loves to watch her sisters play but does cry when the girly squeals become too loud. Aubrey is a wonderful cuddle-er, and snuggles right in when I rock her at night. She can stand unassisted but hasn't taken that first step quite yet. She loves looking at books, particularly a family "Who Do You See" book I made. This pretty baby is always full of smiles and is such a peaceful happy addition to our family. I really am amazed she has been here for a whole year. She's made it such a pleasure it has flown by. :) I love my Aubrey!

End of May

We always enjoy a visit to the Silverton aquarium, especially at feeding time (or with the mermaids!)
Aubrey seems happy about her first visit.

It's always fun when Grandma and Grandpa come to visit. We met them at Lake Mead. A fun time but super, SUPER windy.

So the next day the girls convinced Grandpa to get in their pool with them. (They knew they'd have more success than with their mom.) Good thing he's a fun Grandpa. :)

We harvested our last fantastically delicious peaches off our tree in the backyard. They were quite small but VERY sweet and juicy. And there were a TON. Mmmm! Can't wait for next year.

And with Grandma and Grandpa in town Jeremy and I got an over night date for my birthday! Wohoo!!! We spent it up at Mt. Charleston and it was lovely. :)
