5 Months??

Here is my Michelin baby in all her 5 month glory. :)
Yes, I know. She looks bigger than 5 months... so I've been told again, and again, and again.

You'd think I'd have some bulging biceps by now...

Caught being cute! (both of them)

Ah! I just want to squeeze her all the time!!!
Elise's little personality is evolving everyday. But she remains happy, pleasant, content, and very cuddly. Isis can get her giggling really well and she loves watching her older sister do anything. Elise is really good at grabbing things and even better at putting them into her mouth. Her separation anxiety has kicked into full force and cries as soon as I'm out of sight. I enjoy being loved so much but, man, that girl has some lungs! She doesn't like being left out of dinner time either so she is usually sitting on my or Jeremy's lap while we eat. But it is easy to be with her all the time because she is always such a happy baby.
We love this sweet girl!!

What else can you expect...

...with a title like that? :)

("Sweet Dream Pie")

She nearly nodded right off the couch while Jeremy was reading it to her. :)

4 Months

No baby should look like this on her 4 month birthday. :(
Elise came down with RSV and is on breathing treatments. Two days later we went to the ER because of a fever and found out she has two ear infections too! Pobrecita!
After a few days of medicine she was back to her happy (though raspy) self.
Check out those awesome arm rolls! But it's the cheeks I can't get enough of!
At 4 months she weighs 15 lbs 2 oz and is 24 inches long.
Now that she knows she can roll over she's...well, on a roll. Within seconds of putting her on her back she quickly gets to her tummy. :) She's going to be a mover.

I LOVE THIS BABY!!

Elise is happy in her "baby princess dress." (Any guesses who told her that?)

HOT Date

You know a date with your husband is going to be great if you see this at the beginning.
We went to the Sonoran Glass Art Academy while visiting Tucson.

Gathering molten glass.
Cooling the rod to handle it.
Warming the glass back up.
The glass was put in a mold...
...and then rolled to create a swirl.
Blowing the glass. Getting the air into the glass at the beginning is hard.
Jeremy blew a ball ornament.
My turn.

Adding color to the glass.

Making the bottom of my bowl flat.
Heating it up to smooth out the jagged edges and get the opening ready to...
...SPIN! That's how it spread out to be a bowl and got the cool wavy edge.
"Beating" the completed bowl off the rod.
This was a super fun and different date! Hooray for new things!

Trip to Tucson

The girls and I went to visit my parents for 10 days! Here are a few peeks at our nice long trip.

Isis very excited to fly on the plane.
Elise's first plane ride.
She did great.
New toys inspire stronger neck muscles.
Jeremy joined us for 3 days.
A trip to the Tucson Zoo
Playing in water tops seeing the animals.
Isis' favorite were the fun otters. Daddy, Uncle Thomas, & Grandpa liked them too.
"What about the R.O.U.S.'s?" "Rodents of Unusual Size?....I don't think they exist."
(A capybara is a rodent.)

Isis labeled the jaguar a "bad cat." Probably because she growled while we watched her.

Isn't this just the cutest face EVER??

My world-traveling-can't-stay-still-totally-awesome sister just got back from a trip to India.
Aunt Katherine was thinking of Isis there. :) I love this sari on her.

"Namaste."
looking up to her big sister
We went swimming almost everyday
Grandpa and his two favorite granddaughters.
Elise's first time in the pool. She loved it!
Elise rolled over for the FIRST time at Grandma's house!! At 3 1/2 months! :)
She rolled, picked something up, and looked at it. Pretty pleased with her accomplishment.
Trampoline fun
I got to see my brother Stephen in a production of "A Midsummer Night's Dream"
He did a great job on his acting as well as building the set!
The girls with their Great-grandpa Willis

Some of Jeremy's co-workers didn't think I could travel by myself with the girls.
This is just a ha-ha-I-can-and-did-do-it picture. Yes it looks crazy but it worked - perfectly.
(I hate when people say I can't do something.)
P.S.- Both legs of the trip went wonderfully. It was a GREAT trip! Thanks for letting us come family!!
